I'm not even sure how I was talked in to going to that meeting. Theatre, though. Mummy and Daddy always go to see performances and they think they're worthy enough to waste time on them, right? Maybe I'm meant to be an actress. I mean, I haven't thought much about what I'd do after Hogwarts other than get married to someone perfect and have a bigger Manor house than that slag
I wonder how long we'll have to wait!
It was awkward, though, because there were only two other Slytherins there and Accrington might as well not even count. I don't know that if I had a part I would even want to spend that much time around them all to rehearse, etc. I mean, it would be worse than having classes with them.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about! I mean, alright, I know why they're upset, but why take the school away from Ministry control just for this? Can they even do that?

How do you choose between two men if both of them are wonderful and quite good matches? My books never cover this, you know... the heroine always knows which man she wants, and he always knows he wants her, but if there's another man there's usually something very wrong with him that you find out about as the book goes on. But both of these boys are really very good choices! I don't know what to do.
He kissed me! Me! I always thought he liked Daphne. And then Draco danced and we talked and it was like he really knew me and - Oh this is impossible! |

I lost my journal! I know that I complained to everyone who would listen that I'd lost it, but even after forcing people to help me find it, it was lost! I found it this morning, though, isn't that brilliant?

Alright. Since we can't get a copy of the book that Draco enjoyed, how about we all toss in suggestions and finally get something decided? I'd like to do one book every two weeks? I'm going to suggest The Fortunate Featherwight, since someone mentioned that people might not want to read all about romance all the time. Even though I don't know why not.

Private to Current Slytherin Students
This has been a hilarious week. If the Gryffindors keep this up, it won't even be a fight for the House Cup this year. They'll win it for us by losing so many points because they can't control themselves.
I mean, the journals are trash, most of the time, but at least watching people lose points has been entertaining. And from their own Head of House! How great was that?
Also, the book club is going to begin meeting this Friday after dinner. That's the 23rd. Just a short meeting this time so we can hand out the books and talk about what we're going to do. So excited for that, still!

I'm very happy to be back at school. Of course, things are a little dimmer and duller here than at home, but so many more people to chat with that the trade is alright. So many people I'd rather not have to be about, too, but you can't really do anything about that.
Also, being a Prefect? Absolutely brilliant! I wonder if I can get assigned rounds with Draco.

Everyone is coming to my birthday party tomorrow, right? We'll have such a good time. Besides, having a party to attend means less embarrassing time spent having to talk over the upcoming year with your parents, doesn't it? Besides, once we're back at school we'll have to be around so many people who are just vile, it should be nice to have one last night with only the people we'd like to have about.
I can only hope the party is as much fun as Sariah and Pansy's were! Girls, does anyone want to come over early to dress?

I don't understand half of what the idiots people here are writing. What is a neenernet? Who is Judy Blume? Why is every seventh year writing about their subjects as if they didn't take the same classes the year before?
I've always kept a diary. What was good about it was that no one else could read it. I don't see the point of keeping one where you share your thoughts with everyone else - that's what conversing in person is for.
Are there any parties? I want to go to a party. I have a very nice set of new dress robes, and nowhere to wear them. I'm sure Mummy and Daddy will throw a birthday party for me just before we leave for school, but that's so far away! |
